Daily Ca:P Meal Calculator

Enter tonight’s foods in grams. The food database totals calcium and phosphorus and flags the ratio that drives metabolic bone disease (MBD). Planning tool only — follow your exotic vet.

💡 How it works

Pick each food and type the weight in grams. Aim for a whole-menu Ca:P of 1.5–2:1. A ratio below 1:1 over time is the classic MBD pattern (weak hind legs, paralysis).

⛔ Never feed

Onion, garlic, chives and leeks · chocolate, caffeine, alcohol · rhubarb leaves · heavily salted, sugared or processed human snacks · raw meat or raw eggs treated carelessly · artificial sweeteners · tobacco. Treat grapes/raisins and dairy as off-menu unless a specialist vet advises otherwise. Nuts and mealworms are occasional treats only — they invert the Ca:P balance fast.

When in doubt, leave it out.
